In February 2013, Anais, a French fashion design student living in London, saw a YouTube video of Samantha, an American actor living in Los Angeles. She was immediately blown away by how similar they both looked.

2013년 2월, 런런에서 패션 디자인을 공부중인 프랑스 여학생 아나이스는 LA에 사는 미국 여배우 사만다의 유튜브 비데오를 보고 자신과 너무 닮았음에 놀람.

After some light internet stalking, Anais learned that she and Samantha shared a birthday, and they were both adopted. So she did what any twentysomething would do, and sent her a Facebook message.

인테넷으로 약간의 검색을 한 결과 아니아스는 사만다의 생일이 자기 생일과 똑같고 또 둘 다 입양아라는 사실을 알게 됨. 그래서 이십대의 여자가 의례히 하듯, 사만다에게 페이스북 메세지를 보냄.

The two began Skyping…

And eventually compared baby pictures. The resemblance was uncanny.

Finally, in May 2013, Samantha and her family flew to London to meet Anais and her family for the very first time.

결국 2013년 5월 사만다는 가족과 함꼐 아나이스를 만나보기 위해 날아옴.

The “twinsters” as they’ve dubbed themselves, shared an immediate bond.

Over the next year, Anais traveled to Los Angeles to visit Samantha for two weeks.

다음 해, 아니이스는 LA로 가서 2주 동안 사만다와 지냄.

And they were even able to spend 10 days in Seoul, Korea, where they visited their adoption agencies and discovered the land where their separation took place.둘은 함께 서울로 가서 자신들을 입양시켰던 입양기관을 방문하고 둘이 헤어진 곳도 가 봄.

There seems to be no question that the pair are biological twin sisters, separated at birth. But after documenting their entire journey on camera, Samantha and Anais have created a Kickstarter campaign to turn their story into a film.

둘이 함께 태어나서 헤어지게 된 생물학적인 쌍동이라는 사실에는 의문의 여지가 없는 것으로 보임. 하지만 자기들의 여행 전체를 기록한 뒤, 사만다와 아나이스는 자신들의 이야기를 영화화할 계획을 세움. (그래서 투자금 모집 중이라는 얘기)
